Tools for Conferences

Here are a few ideas for you to use with your conferences.

Google Meet Timer

Use the Google Meet Timer to keep your conferences on schedule. Once installed as an extension you can use the settings by clicking on the extension.

It may be a good idea to remove the Google Meet Timer after conferences as some extensions cause issues in Google Meet.

Host Controls in Google Meet

Once you have your Google Meet link set up for conferences you can set up your Host Controls so that you will have to admit participants into your Meet.  Share the link with your participants. Participants will open Meet and enter the Meet code. You will get a notification when your next participant is ready to enter the conference where you will be able to admit or deny.

Please see me if you have questions.

New Books

It's always an awesome day when new books arrive in the library. You will have to come in to see and smell and read some of the great books. You will find exciting series such as The Ball Park Mysteries, Kayla and King, Hi Jack, Big Foot and Little Foot.  Golden Archer nominees such as King Baby and Bad Seed. Some How To books to teach sequencing, and many beautiful picture books.

Please remind your students to be super careful with water bottles as we are getting many books returned with water damage.  It might be a good idea to have students empty water bottles at the end of the day before putting them in their backpacks.

I have created a couple of Destiny Collections which may be of interest to you.  A collection is a curated list of materials such as books, websites, documents, and activities.
