News from the Library
Library Checkout
All students will have a library book bag to use to bring books home and back to school. Please bring book bags to the library on your class' checkout day. The bag has the student's name, teacher name, and day that books are due. Let students know where to return library books. If it is in a bin by your room, please make it a job for a student to bring them to a bin outside of the library. Library books should be brought down early in the day.
Library Stations
We introduced stations to students in the library. On checkout days students will be able to go to a station after they checkout their books. This allows students to work on collaboration, respect, and communication all while being creative.
4K Exploration
4K Exploration will meet in the library on Day 4. On Friday, September 8 we will do introductions in the library and then go to the playground for movement. Please have them wear jackets if it is cool.
1st Grade
1st grade will be learning about being safe online while being introduced to chromebooks during the next rotation. Please have them bring their headphones for the September 13th rotation. Students will be using the
September Choice Board.
Kindergarten
Did you know that Mo Willems does not write Elephant & Piggie books anymore? Some of Mo's author friends still want to see Elephant and Piggie in books. Kindergarten students will be introduced to the authors that write
Elephant & Piggie Like Reading books.
