Tanner Elementary students have been learning about poetry this month. The first grade students wrote class haikus and were challenged to write their own. The poems were submitted to the Young American Poetry Digest with hopes of getting published.  You can read them here.

Random Acts of Kindness

Stick Together sponsors a "Random Acts of Inclusion" contest and Mrs. Bartel's class was chosen for their kindness.

A student in her class had eye surgery and her class was very helpful to the student. One student in particular would guide him around the library and describe books to him. Once he chose one she would read it to him.

For their kindness Tanner Elementary was awarded a StickTogether kit. The kit will be used in the library and put together one kindness at a time.
