Summer Library Fun

Prepare for summer reading and summer fun with the Tanner Virtual Library. Use the website to find resources for many options of online reading and listening and other activities.  The summer choice board is full of fun.  Pebble Go has added articles about dogs and dinosaurs which can be found on the choice board.

Some of the databases may require a username and password. They can be found on the choice on the bottom left and will be sent home with students. Sora and Destiny use the students' school username and password.

Sora allows you to read and listen to digital books. It uses the students' school username and password. Directions can be found on the Summer Library News Letter.

We completed the May StickTogether and have a new one on the summer choice board.

Library Private Eyes

Who wouldn't want to be a Private Eye and solve mysteries. The Tanner students put their detective skills to the test in the library after reading Baby Monkey Private Eye  by Brian Selznick and David Serlin. Look for clues, write down notes, then solve the mystery.

Reading

Today in Library Skills the students were able to view book trailers of books from many different genres. The purpose was to introduce students to all kinds of books.  QR codes were displayed throughout the library which the students scanned then viewed the book trailer. There was a lot of excitement and getting ready for summer reading.

Summer Reading

We had friends from the Kaukauna Public Library visit today to describe the Summer Learning Program. There are so many fun activities and wonderful prizes. It is open to kids and adults.
