Library News

Celebrate with the library! April is School Library Month with April 23-29 being National Library Week. School Librarian Day was April 4, Right to Read Day is April 24, and National Library Workers Day is April 25.

Libraries are full of stories in a variety of formats from picture books to electronic books and more. But there's so much more to the story. We are sharing a book and bookmarks with your class to enjoy. Please return the book and the bag when you are finished.

Students have been learning about poetry in library skills and even writing their own poems. 1st graders are writing Haikus which are poems that have 3 lines and 17 syllables. Their poems will be sent to the Young American Poetry Digest with the hopes of getting published. All poems need to be given to Mrs Sager by Monday April 24th.

Tech Tip

The new phone directory can be tricky to use, but is really quite nifty. By using the webclient you can look up phone numbers and make calls from you phone or from your web browser. Just search for an individual and click on the telephone icon.
