Welcome 2024-2025

September Choiceboard

PebbleGo

There are new features in PebbleGo that will add engagement and learning in your class. Students will be able to log in with Google and create to show their learning right in the PebbleGo platform. There are also numerous resources available for teachers to add excitment to the curriculum. I am working with IT to get the login for students to be as seemless as possible and will let you know when it is working.  It will integrate with the Google Classroom.

New Books

I'm thrilled to announce a fresh batch of books for the start of the school year and there's something for everyone! Whether your student is a fan of thrilling adventures, fascinating facts, or stories about inspiring leaders, our new collection is sure to spark their curiosity and imagination. There are many great books for you to share as a read aloud with your class too. Here’s a glimpse at what’s new on our shelves.

TalkingPoints is our new communication tool available for you to send class announcements or individual messages to families. It is two way texting that is translated into home languages. You can use it from your desktop or through the TalkingPoints app on your phone.
The free version of Seesaw can still be used by teachers. You will have to set up your account and get permission slips signed by the parent or guardian. You can keep the permission slips in your files.
Another option would be to use Google Classroom as a place to assign, save and share student work.

Library Books

  • Due Dates: Remember that library books are due the day before the checkout date.  Also have a students put them in the bins outside of the library early in the morning. This ensures that they are processed on time and ready for the next reader.
  • Protect the Books: Library bags will be provided to each student to keep the books safe and in good condition.
  • Library Information: A letter will be sent home explaining checkout day and due day. You can find them in this folder.

Your help with modeling this with your students will help with the management of the library.
